Shanghai Proton and Heavy Ion Center is a public specialist cancer centre in Pudong, Shanghai, operating as the proton and heavy-ion centre of Fudan University Shanghai Cancer Center. Per its own website it is the first facility in mainland China, and the third worldwide, to run both proton and heavy-ion (carbon-ion) radiotherapy in one institution. It began treating patients in May 2015.
